QE (Quality Engineering)

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Product Qualification Plans and Process Validation Protocols tailored to manufacturing (e.g., frame integrity, material strength, coating durability).

• Plan and coordinate reliability testing, load testing, stability assessments, and other performance validation for wood, metal, and upholstery products.

• Collaborate with design and engineering teams to review technical drawings, material specifications, DFMEA, and PFMEA.

• Prepare and maintain all qualification documents including test reports, control plans, inspection criteria, and validation records.

• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) by ensuring that qualifications and validations are completed on time and meet customer expectations.

• Liaise with customers, third-party labs, and certification bodies (e.g., BIFMA, ANSI, ISO) to meet product safety and quality standards.

• Identify and analyze product non-conformities, lead root cause analysis, and drive corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).

• Evaluate and qualify new suppliers, materials, and hardware used in production to ensure compliance with internal quality standards.

• Ensure continuous alignment with applicable ISO standards (e.g., ISO 9001) and customer-specific quality requirements.

• Participate in internal audits, customer audits, and support regulatory inspections as needed.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Design Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. 2–5 years of experience in quality engineering or product qualification (manufacturing) Experience with quality tools such as FMEA, 5-Why, Root Cause Analysis, and CAPA processes. Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate across design, production, and supplier teams. Proficient in Microsoft Office and quality documentation tools. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles is a plus. Able to work as a shift (approximately 3-5 times per month)
