Neurosurgeon

Key Responsibilities

Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with neurological and neurosurgical conditions.

Perform neurosurgical procedures for brain, spine, cranial, and peripheral nerve disorders.

Manage conditions including brain tumors, spinal disorders, traumatic brain injuries, hydrocephalus, vascular lesions, and degenerative spine conditions.

Conduct pre-operative assessments and develop individualized surgical plans.

Perform appropriate emergency and elective neurosurgical procedures.

Provide comprehensive post-operative care and monitor patients for complications.

Interpret MRI, CT, angiography, and other relevant neuroimaging studies.

Manage neurosurgical emergencies, including head trauma, intracranial hemorrhage, and acute spinal conditions.

Collaborate with neurologists, radiologists, oncologists, intensivists, rehabilitation specialists, and other multidisciplinary teams.

Counsel patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, surgical risks, and expected outcomes.

Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with UAE healthcare regulations and patient-safety standards.

Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, teaching, and continuing medical education.

Qualifications & Requirements

MBBS or equivalent medical degree.

MS / MCh / DNB / FRCS / Arab Board or equivalent recognized postgraduate qualification in Neurosurgery.

Minimum 3 years of post-specialization experience preferred.

Strong experience in neurosurgical procedures and perioperative patient management.

Excellent clinical decision-making and surgical skills.

Strong communication and multidisciplinary teamwork abilities.
