Senior IT Systems Engineer (Linux/RHEL)

Our client, a leading global technology and engineering organisation, is looking for a Senior IT System Consultant to support the deployment, integration and operation of complex technology systems.

This is a hands-on technical role suited for an experienced Systems Engineer or Infrastructure professional who enjoys troubleshooting complex technical issues, working across different systems and engaging with customers and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure and support enterprise infrastructure and application systems.
• Perform system integration, testing and validation activities.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and conduct root-cause analysis.
• Monitor system performance and support system maintenance, changes and improvements.
• Work closely with customers, partners and internal engineering teams to resolve technical issues.
• Prepare technical documentation, incident reports and user guides.
• Identify technical risks and recommend practical solutions.
• Support technical solution planning and pre-sales activities when required.
• Share technical knowledge and support the development of other engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in Systems Engineering, System Integration, Infrastructure Engineering or Technical Consulting .
• Strong hands-on experience with Linux and/or Windows environments , with Linux experience preferred.
• Hands-on experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) is required.
• Good understanding of TCP/IP, OSI model, network switching and routing .
• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
• Experience supporting and maintaining large-scale IT systems.
• Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket or SharePoint .
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Location: Novena, Singapore Employment Type: 3-Year Contract, with potential conversion to permanent .
