Accountant (9 months contract)

Nearest MRT : Raffles MRT and Telok Ayer MRT Monday to Friday, 9am to 5.30pm

One of the real estate asset management company is looking for Accountant for a period of 9months. Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Accountant will be responsible for the accounting and financial reporting activities for both the Group and the funds managed by the company. The role will ensure accuracy, compliance, and timeliness of financial records and reports.

The Accountant will support the Finance Manager in finance-related tasks and projects.

Responsibilities

Financial Reporting and Reconciliation

• Prepare comprehensive monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports for both the group and the funds managed by the company.
• Conduct detailed account reconciliation and analyze discrepancies to maintain accuracy in the financial statement.
• Ensure all financial reporting meets regulatory requirements and adhere to statutory laws and financial regulations.

General Ledger and Accounting Operations

• Manage the general ledger and oversee all end-to-end accounting operations, including journal entries, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other transactional activities.
• Maintain meticulous records and documentation in accordance with company policies and procedures to support accurate accounting and financial management.

Audit and Compliance

• Facilitate and coordinate with external and internal auditors during audits to ensure compliance and integrity of financial data.
• Uphold internal controls to enhance financial accuracy and prevent discrepancies.

Tax and Statutory Reporting

• Assist in tax preparation and filing with tax agents.

Budgeting and Forecasting

• Support the budgeting and forecasting process.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Acts as a strong team player, working collaboratively within the finance department and across the organization to ensure cohesive financial management.
• Support the Managers in financial operations and project implementations.

Job Requirements

• Diploma in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• At least two to four years of relevant accounting experience.
• Prior experience in entity-level financial closing is preferred.
• Experience in fund accounting, asset management, private equity, real estate or financial services would be advantageous.
• Familiarity with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards or International Financial Reporting Standards.
• Good understanding of general ledger accounting, financial reporting, account reconciliation and audit processes.
