[URGENT] Telecommunications Network Engineer

Your tasks

• Implement, maintain, and optimize IP/MPLS networks, including Layer 2 VPN, VPLS, and Layer 3 IP-VPN services.
• Configure and manage IP transit, BGP peering, and connectivity with Internet Exchanges and cloud providers.
• Design and implement network solutions based on customer and business requirements.
• Prepare technical documentation, including network implementation plans, MOP, BOM, and SOW.
• Support network expansion, migration, upgrades, and optical transmission integration.
• Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and improve network reliability.
• Maintain network documentation and support network automation initiatives.
• Provide technical support and guidance to Network Operations Centre (NOC) teams.
• Participate in on-call support and scheduled after-hours maintenance when required.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Relevant networking certifications such as CCNP, JNCIP, or equivalent are an advantage.
• At least 4 - 5 years of relevant experience in telecommunications, ISP, cloud, or content network environments.
• Strong hands-on experience in IP routing, Layer 2 switching, and Layer 3 networking.
• Good knowledge of TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP/MP-BGP, IS-IS, MPLS, and RSVP.
• Experience with network equipment from vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, or Nokia/Alcatel-Lucent.

• Familiarity with Python, Ansible, Jinja, or Git for network automation is an advantage.
• Exposure to SD-WAN, SASE, or optical transmission networks is an advantage.
