Strategic Commodity Manager

MNC Client (North east location) Strategic Commodity Manager responsible for non-ferrous metal commodity procurement for manufacturing. Drives strategic sourcing, market intelligence, cost optimization and risk management to ensure a resilient supply chain. Key responsibilities Develop and maintain commodity strategies for key metals (eg: Tin, Al, Cu)

Analyze commodity indices, market trends, supply-demand dynamics and geopolitical developments

Drive cost improvement and value engineering initiatives

Develop commodity management tools, playbooks and best practices

Develop procurement team competencies on procurement fundamentals and strategies

Maintain commodity dashboards and forecasting tools

About you Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, Economics, Metallurgy or any other related field

Minimum 5 years of strategic commodity procurement working experience in electronics / semiconductor manufacturing environment

Experience in procurement of non-ferrous metal base materials or semiconductors or specialized materials

Experience with commodity index-based pricing models

Understanding of global metal markets (eg: Tin, Cu, Al)

Knowledge of commodity exchanges and pricing mechanisms (eg: LME; SHFE)

Ability to interpret market trends, supply-demand fundamentals and price forecast

Knowledge of price risk management strategies
