Warehouse Assistant

Responsibilities

• Receive and verify incoming equipment, spare parts, and materials against purchase orders and delivery documentation.
• Organise and store inventory systematically to ensure proper identification, traceability, and efficient retrieval of items.
• Prepare, pick, pack, and label spare parts, tools, and equipment required for customer deliveries and service assignments.
• Handle the loading and unloading of goods while ensuring equipment and materials are transported and stored safely.
• Update inventory records accurately for stock receipts, issuances, transfers, returns, and other warehouse movements.
• Perform periodic stock counts and inventory checks to maintain stock accuracy and investigate discrepancies when identified.
• Coordinate with service engineers, logistics personnel, and other internal teams to ensure required parts and equipment are available for scheduled jobs.
• Inspect incoming and outgoing items for quantity, condition, and accuracy, and report damaged, missing, or incorrect goods promptly.
• Maintain proper warehouse housekeeping, storage practices, and workplace safety standards to provide a safe and organised working environment.
• Support day-to-day warehouse and logistics operations, including inventory documentation, stock replenishment, packing, and preparation of goods for dispatch.

Requirements

• Minimum Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, logistics, or supply chain activities is preferred.
• Good knowledge of warehouse processes, including goods receiving, inventory control, stocktaking, picking, packing, and dispatch activities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications with the ability to use inventory, ERP, or warehouse management systems; forklift certification will be an advantage.
• Organised, responsible, and detail-oriented with good teamwork and communication skills, and physically capable of handling warehouse materials and equipment when required.
