Responsibilities
- Drive new business development for SaaS solutions across the maritime, shipping, and marine sectors.
- Identify and engage prospective customers, including ship owners, ship managers, operators, maritime service providers, and other industry stakeholders.
- Build and manage a healthy sales pipeline from initial prospecting through negotiation and contract closure.
- Develop consultative sales strategies that demonstrate how SaaS platforms can improve operational efficiency, visibility, compliance, and business performance.
- Cultivate strong relationships with key decision-makers and maintain long-term engagement with strategic accounts.
- Conduct product presentations, software demonstrations, and commercial discussions tailored to customer requirements and maritime use cases.
- Collaborate with product, technical, marketing, and customer success teams to develop effective solutions and support successful client onboarding.
- Monitor maritime industry developments, competitive offerings, customer challenges, and emerging digitalization trends to uncover new commercial opportunities.
- Prepare sales forecasts, pipeline reports, proposals, pricing recommendations, and account plans to support revenue objectives.
- Represent the business at maritime conferences, exhibitions, networking events, and customer meetings to strengthen market presence and generate opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Maritime Studies, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant B2B sales or business development experience within the maritime industry.
- Proven experience selling SaaS software solutions, with a strong understanding of subscription-based sales, solution selling, and enterprise sales cycles.
- Strong knowledge of the maritime ecosystem with the ability to engage senior stakeholders, understand operational challenges, and translate customer needs into technology solutions.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-management skills, with a results-driven approach and the ability to work independently across complex sales opportunities.
