Solutions Consultant – Telecom
About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced Pre-Sales Solution Consultant to join a growing technology team supporting telecommunications customers across the region.
This role combines technical consulting, customer engagement and solution design, working closely with sales and delivery teams to develop solutions that address customer business needs.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in the telecommunications industry, particularly in Business Support Systems (BSS), and is comfortable engaging customers throughout the pre-sales lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with customers to understand business objectives, operational challenges and technical requirements.
- Design and recommend solution architectures that meet customer needs while aligning with product capabilities.
- Support the sales team throughout the pre-sales process, including technical discussions, solution positioning and proposal preparation.
- Conduct product demonstrations, technical workshops and Proof of Concept (POC) sessions where required.
- Gather, analyse and document customer requirements for solution design and implementation planning.
- Prepare technical responses for RFIs, RFPs and tender submissions.
- Work with product management, engineering and delivery teams to assess solution feasibility and implementation approach.
- Coordinate release planning and solution delivery to support successful project execution.
- Provide technical guidance during implementation and assist in resolving customer issues where necessary.
- Build trusted relationships with customers by providing professional technical advice and consultation.
Requirements:
- At least 8 years of experience in the telecommunications industry.
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Business Support Systems (BSS).
- Experience preparing and supporting RFPs, RFIs, technical proposals and solution presentations.
- Experience working with telecommunications operators or telecom solution vendors will be an advantage.
- Regional project or customer engagement experience will be an added advantage.
Preferred Skillsets:
- Telecom OSS/BSS platforms.
- Enterprise software implementation or system integration.
- Cloud-based enterprise solutions.
- Agile project delivery methodologies.
