About The MEP Superintendent is responsible for overseeing day-to-day field execution of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems from installation through commissioning and turnover. This role ensures that all MEP work is properly coordinated, installed per project requirements, and aligned with QAQC and commissioning expectations. In mission-critical and hyperscale environments, the focus is on driving field productivity, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring systems are complete and ready for testing without delays or rework.

Responsibilities Oversee daily field execution of MEP systems across assigned areas or scopes

Coordinate subcontractors and trades to ensure alignment with project schedule and sequencing

Ensure installations meet approved drawings, specifications, and OEM requirements

Monitor field progress, identify constraints, and escalate issues impacting schedule or quality

Lead daily huddles and participate in coordination and planning meetings

Enforce safety standards and promote a strong safety culture on site

Work closely with QAQC and commissioning teams to ensure system readiness

Verify completion of inspections, checklists, and prerequisites prior to testing

Drive a zero-defect mindset by holding trades accountable for quality and completeness

Track and support resolution of NCRs within assigned scope

Support execution of functional and integrated systems testing

Maintain clear communication with General Superintendent, PMs, and field teams

Ensure assigned systems and areas are fully complete and ready for turnover

Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management , Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent field experience)

7–10 years of experience in MEP construction with field supervision responsibilities

Experience in data centers, mission-critical, or large-scale commercial projects preferred

Experience coordinating with QAQC and commissioning teams through system turnover

Skills Strong understanding of MEP systems and field installation practices

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and submittals

Working knowledge of commissioning processes and system turnover requirements

Strong leadership and field coordination skills

Effective communication skills across trades, field teams, and project leadership

Ability to identify risks and constraints and escalate appropriately

Strong organizational and planning skills with a focus on execution

High attention to detail with a commitment to quality and accountability

Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments
