To support our development, we are recruiting a:

SENIOR BUYER - FOOD PRODUCTS M/F

Reporting to the Category Director, you are in charge of sourcing products for the Butter / Eggs / Cheese category, and you ensure:

• the profitability of your product family (volume and margin development),
• their enhancement (private label development),
• promotional highlighting,
• compliance with the Quality and CSR policy of the company and the group
• product availability.

In this capacity, your main missions are as follows:

Sourcing

• Monitor market, supplier, and product trends.
• Identify new non-codified products.
• Participate in trade fairs and supplier visits (national and international).
• Evaluate supplier reliability (quality, finances, supply chain.).
• Ensure strategic monitoring (market, raw materials, etc.).
• Contribute to the development of group purchasing strategies.

Purchasing Conditions

• Launch and manage calls for tender.
• Negotiate pricing conditions, margins, and specific aids.
• Monitor purchasing performance (indices, benchmarks.).
• Optimize purchasing conditions (price, quality, regularity).
• Manage total costs with the supply chain department.
• Participate in international purchasing projects (Constellation, Hub.).
• Negotiate external costs (insurance, audits.).

Category Performance

• Analyze product performance KPIs.
• Reduce out-of-stock situations via corrective actions with supply.
• Identify levers for product range optimization.
• Collaborate on segmentation and customer typologies to adapt the offering.

Commercial & Category Contribution

• Support Key Account sales teams.
• Collaborate with the Category Manager on product innovations.
• Optimize promotional impact (price, availability, negotiation.).
• Improve the value proposition with support functions.
• Ensure product compliance with company requirements.

Your profile:

With higher education such as a BAC +5, if possible with a specialization in purchasing or a Master in Purchasing, you have at least 5 years of experience in purchasing, ideally in food products.

You are proficient in professional English and office tools (Excel, Power Point).

You are recognized for your team spirit, organizational skills, as well as your sense of customer service and your results-oriented culture.

An excellent negotiator with product sensitivity, you know how to identify the best levers to convince your interlocutors.

Autonomy, curiosity, being proactive, analytical skills, and ease in negotiation will allow you to successfully carry out your mission.
