In the port of Zeebrugge, as an IT Support Engineer, you will have the opportunity to help build reliable CCTV and access control systems across various locations.
Your challenge:
- Maintaining and managing CCTV systems, including updates, security patches, and firmware
- Configuring and supporting access control systems, badge readers, barriers, and intercoms
- Analyzing faults and developing technical solutions
- Collaborating on new projects, from design to implementation
- Monitoring system performance and ensuring reliability
- Collaborating with internal teams, suppliers, and external partners
- Identifying improvements within existing systems and processes
- Supporting installations at various locations, including Zeebrugge, Rotterdam, and Vlissingen
- Fluent knowledge of English is a must
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience with CCTV and access control systems is a must
- Knowledge of CCTV and access control platforms; experience with Genetec and/or Milestone is a plus
- Good knowledge of the hardware behind these systems
- Knowledge of fiber optic cabling and basic networking principles
- Strong technical insight and a hands-on, problem-solving mindset
- Willingness to meet the requirements for the legally mandatory positive security assessment for critical port functions
