For a stable and growing production company in the food sector, we are looking for a Cleaning Coordinator. In this versatile role, you are responsible for planning, coordinating, and following up on all cleaning activities within the production, packaging, and support departments.
You play a crucial role in guaranteeing a hygienic production environment and thus contribute directly to the quality and food safety of the products. Additionally, you work closely with internal departments and external partners and provide functional leadership to a team of permanent cleaning staff.
Your tasks
- Coordinating, planning, and following up on the Master Cleaning Plan.
- Organizing large-scale cleaning works during planned production shutdowns, deep cleanings, and technical cleaning shifts.
- Updating the Cleaning Plan based on changes in installations, procedures, frequencies, and KPI's.
- Checking performed cleaning works via visual inspections, microbiological controls, and testing for allergens and chemical residues.
- Supervising the correct compliance with safety and hygiene regulations.
- Management of cleaning equipment, cleaning products, and installations.
- Organizing and providing training to employees, both theoretically and practically.
- Providing functional leadership to a team of five permanent cleaning staff.
- Acting as a point of contact for Operations, Technical Department, Quality, HSE, Learning & Development, Milieu, and external cleaning partners.
- Reporting to the Quality Manager regarding planning, budget, progress, and areas for improvement.
- Drafting and optimizing work instructions, procedures, and improvement actions.
- Monitoring compliance with quality and audit standards such as HACCP, IFS/BRC, ISO 14001, and SQMS.
- Building a constructive collaboration with external partners and suppliers.
- A professional bachelor's degree, preferably in Agro, Food Industry, Quality, or a similar field.
- Motivated recent graduates are also certainly eligible.
- Knowledge of cleaning methods, detergents, and hygiene regulations within a production environment.
- Insight into production processes, food safety, and quality standards.
- Experience with or interest in audit standards such as HACCP, IFS/BRC, and ISO 14001.
- General technical basic knowledge.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office; knowledge of SCADA (Citect) is a plus.
- A basic knowledge of English.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to set priorities.
- A proactive attitude and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Good communication skills and the ability to coach and lead people.
