Are you our new colleague?

We are looking for midwives and midwifery students who are passionate about providing safe and good care to women, newborns, and the new family.

We have strengthened our core staffing and have vacancies for both temporary positions and permanent roles in various degrees of employment. Work is conducted in three shifts with duty every third weekend. The maternity ward at Sykehuset Østfold is Norway's sixth largest maternity ward with over 3,000 births per year. We have a dynamic work environment with a focus on normal births and specialized maternity care.

We offer an exciting and challenging workplace with great colleagues and a pleasant working environment. You will work within the entire care chain surrounding pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum care, including monitoring of inpatient pregnant women, normal births, specialized maternity care, and postpartum ward care.

We place great emphasis on quality, professional development, and interprofessional collaboration. Our goal is to take care of the whole family and offer safe and qualitative childbirth and postpartum care. With us, you will encounter an integrated women's clinic. In addition to the maternity and postpartum sections, we also have a gynecological ward with nine beds. We conduct extensive surgical activities, including day surgery, and have our own operating room at the outpatient clinic. The operations are located in both Kalnes and Moss.

We conduct approximately 26,500 outpatient visits annually within:

  • Maternity clinic
  • Postpartum clinic
