RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure compliance and practiceof Company’s QEHS Management System for the project
  • Issuance of Personal ProtectiveEquipment to workers at site
  • Recommend measures to rectifyall EHS irregularities
  • Report & submit SiteEnvironment Control Report to the Project Manager
  • Advise site staff of safetymatters
  • Conduct safety audits and putreports
  • Conduct safety inspections andput up report on follow-up actions
  • To supervise safety and promotesafety conduct
  • Act as secretary of WorkplaceSafety and Health Committee
  • Preparation of SiteEnvironmental Control Programme
  • Liaise with appointed auditorson the QEHS Management System
  • Liaise with Ministry ofManpower on all safety issues
  • Ensure that all safetyregulations and housekeeping methods are always practiced at site
  • Inspection of site to ensureall facilities and equipment relevant to the maintenance of EHS are in properworking condition and do not pose hazard’
  • Discuss and consult the ProjectManager/Safety Manager on all EHS irregularities
  • Assist the authorities toinvestigate all EHS irregularities
  • To inspect and rectify anyunsafe place of work
  • Organize campaigns, trainingcourses and other activities to develop and sustain the interest ofstaff/workers in maintaining a good environmental health safety standard atsite
  • Investigate accidents, putreports and recommend remedial actions

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Candidate must possess at leasea Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, Post GraduateDiploma, Professional Degree, Engineering (Environmental/Health/Safety) orequivalent
  • At least 3 years of workingexperience preferably
  • Full-time position available
  • Must be registered WSHO/ECO
