Swisslog is looking for a Mechanical Designer
You have an engineering degree in mechanical engineering and several years of experience in design, preferably within automated machines and systems. Alternatively, you have acquired equivalent knowledge through work experience. You have good knowledge of 3D tools and AutoCad and you are fluent in English, both spoken and written.
You are a person with a great interest in technology, where your technical breadth allows you to understand the mechanical part of a mechatronic system. You are a problem solver and use your creativity to find new solutions. To be able to produce decision-making documents or conduct investigations, you must be analytical and structured and able to document and present facts in an easy-to-understand manner. You have good collaborative skills but are also motivated by working independently. At Swisslog in Boxholm, we have a large design department consisting of mechanical designers, electrical designers, and software engineers, as well as a large number of consultants. In the design department, we also have technical resources in the form of standard and norm engineers, calculation engineers, and technical analysis engineers. All development and design of our products takes place in Boxholm.

At Swisslog Pallet Technology Center in Boxholm, we develop, produce, and deliver automatic stacking cranes (Vectura), conveyors (ProMove), and shuttle systems (Powerstore) including PLC- and PC-based control systems. Together with our sister companies, we can combine and deliver different products and systems to match each individual customer's needs. We work in a project-oriented manner, which means many exciting challenges and adaptations. Currently, many customer projects are ongoing, while significant investments are being made in the development of new products and solutions. The number of employees at Swisslog in Boxholm is approximately 250 people.
