Swisslog is looking for Electrical Designers

We are looking for you who have a high school or university education specializing in electricity/automation or equivalent knowledge from professional life. In addition to this, you have several years of design experience, preferably with industrial machines. We would like to see that you have previously worked at a small or medium-sized company where you have had the opportunity to work broadly as a designer.

It is a strong merit if you have experience working with risk analyses or standards and norms. Knowledge of the design program EPLAN is also a merit.

As a person, you are driven with a great interest in technology. You have the ability to work structured and focused to achieve set goals, even though you have many parallel tasks ongoing at the same time. You appreciate working independently but also value collaborating with others. You handle English unhindered in both speech and writing and have the ability to adapt your communication in speech and writing to the intended target group. Swisslog continues to grow and we are now looking for two additional electrical designers. As an electrical designer with us, you will work with the design of conveyor systems and high-bay warehouse cranes, primarily in EPLAN P8, which is our main drafting tool. In the role of electrical designer, you will work primarily in customer projects but also in development projects with the aim of developing new or improved products. We always work according to customer specifications, which often presents you with new and exciting challenges. The position as an electrical designer otherwise involves:

• Participating in early tender work during the sales phase.
• Preparation and maintenance of technical documentation.
• Investigation work and compilation of documentation for calculations.
• Internal technical support, primarily to our sales and production departments.
• Participating in risk analyses and the preparation of functional descriptions.

We have customers in many different parts of the world, which involves some traveling; however, it only concerns about 2-3 trips per year in the role of electrical designer.

At Swisslog Pallet Technology Center in Boxholm, we develop, produce, and deliver automatic stacking cranes, conveyors, and shuttle systems, including PLC- and PC-based control systems. Together with our sister companies, we can combine different products and systems within the organization to match each customer's needs. We work project-oriented, which means exciting challenges and adaptations. Currently, many customer projects are ongoing, while significant investments are being made in the development of new products and solutions. The number of employees at Swisslog in Boxholm is approximately 250 people.
