In Sweco Vestfold og Telemark, we are now looking for a consultant in structural engineering/RIB with good competence in steel and concrete in the Building and Industry department. We have offices in Porsgrunn, Seljord, Notodden, and at Fokserød (Sandefjord). Our structural engineering environment is recognized for its extensive and skilled professional community, and it is known as a solid environment within structural engineering in Sweco Norge. The office, which houses a diversity of disciplines, has approximately 95 skilled employees. Of these, the building and industry group consists of 32 pleasant engineers, civil engineers, and one PhD.
The office is characterized by a lively social environment and a low threshold for collaboration and high degree of freedom. We have a varied project portfolio ranging from industry and residential projects to commercial and public initiatives, from large to small scales. We have a strong focus on the use of new digital tools to increase quality and productivity. At the same time, the use of software ranges from 2D Microstation to coding in Python and C# and advanced parametric design, as well as from manual calculations to advanced analyses in Ansys, Sofistik, and Nastran.

This is you:
- You have a master's degree/PhD in structural engineering or another relevant field.
- At least 8 years of experience with design and project management, especially within steel and concrete.
- You thrive in the "thinking box," but also like to think outside the box.
- You have good communication and relationship skills.
- You enjoy collaborating, preferably with people who think differently.
- Experience with Tekla is desirable, but not a requirement.
- Good skills in English, both written and oral.
- You have an inner drive to contribute to the success of Grenland's ambitious vision of becoming the world's first climate-positive industrial region by 2040.
- You have an open mind for the use of new technology and see AI as an exciting space of opportunity for further development and efficiency.
- Parameterization and programming are desirable competencies.
- You are a relationship builder, internally and externally. You are used to working closely with customers.
- Experience from industry, hydropower, bridges, and power grids counts positively.
Tasks:
- Working with large industrial projects, transport, public, commercial, power lines, hydropower, etc.
- Design of steel and concrete.
- Potential project management within these projects.
- Multidisciplinary coordination.
- Close contact with the construction site and the customer.
