Your tasks

We are now seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Sourcing Manager within IT Procurement for an exciting consultancy assignment at a leading player within the automotive industry. Here, you will have the opportunity to influence strategic purchasing decisions, develop supplier collaborations, and create long-term business value.

💼About the assignment As a Senior Sourcing Manager, you will play a central role in developing and driving strategic purchasing activities within IT and technology-related categories.

You will work closely with both the IT operations and the business organization to translate needs into effective sourcing strategies, competitive supplier solutions, and sustainable commercial agreements.

The role offers a wide network, complex business challenges, and the opportunity to contribute to the development of procurement processes and supplier strategies in an international organization.

🎯Your main responsibilities

• Strategic IT Procurement: Lead sourcing processes from needs analysis and supplier evaluation to negotiation and finalized agreements.
• Category and Supplier Strategies: Develop strategies that balance technology, quality, delivery capability, cost, and sustainability.
• Tendering and Negotiation: Drive RFx processes, complex commercial negotiations, and supplier selection.
• Agreements and Business Models: Develop and negotiate service agreements, transformation agreements, consumption-based pricing models, and risk-sharing models.
• Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with internal decision-makers, IT specialists, business functions, and external suppliers.
• Market Analysis: Analyze the supplier market, technological developments, and commercial trends to identify business opportunities.
• Process Development: Identify improvement opportunities, standardization, and synergies within the procurement organization.
• Strategic Decision Support: Prepare and present recommendations and decision support for management and other decision-making forums.

Requirements

✅We are looking for you who has

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in strategic procurement, sourcing, procurement, vendor management, or an equivalent commercial role.
• Documented experience in IT Procurement or technology-related procurement categories.
• Very good ability to drive complex commercial and contract-related negotiations.
• Experience with advanced contract models, service-based business setups, and total cost of ownership (TCO) analyses.
• Strong competence in stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience in preparing and presenting strategic decision support for senior decision-makers.
• Good understanding of strategic sourcing processes and supplier relationships.
• Very good English in speech and writing, as the work takes place in an international environment.

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA, IBM Maximo, Microsoft Power BI, or Microsoft Copilot.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or an equivalent relevant field.
• Experience in procurement and supplier management in large, international, and technology-intensive organizations.
