Here, you will become part of a purchasing organization with close links to both production, planning, and projects. The role is suitable for you who thrive in an operationally close environment where the pace is sometimes high, conditions can change quickly, and your ability to create structure and make things happen makes a difference.

Initially, the focus will be on operational and administrative purchasing tasks. You will not have your own strategic supplier responsibility from the start, but for the right person, there are good opportunities to broaden your competence and in the long term develop towards more strategic purchasing work.

About the role As an operational buyer, you help ensure that materials and services are in the right place, at the right time, and at the right cost. You work closely with the business and become an important link between purchasing, planning, projects, and production.

You will, among other things: Send out inquiries and handle incoming quotes.

Conduct supplier selection in consultation with strategic buyers.

Purchase materials and services based on the business's planned needs.

Monitor deliveries and ensure that materials reach production according to plan.

Maintain article and supplier data in the purchasing system.

Handle supplier invoices and associated administration.

Maintain an ongoing dialogue with the planning department, project teams, and other internal contact surfaces.

Support the organization in other operational purchasing-related issues when needs arise.

An important part of the work is understanding manufacturing flows and the supplier market within the mechanical and manufacturing industry. You therefore need to feel comfortable working close to production and understanding how purchasing decisions affect the entire flow.

👤Who are we looking for? We are looking for you who have a few years of experience in operational purchasing and who thrive in a role where structure, collaboration, and individual responsibility go hand in hand.

To succeed in the role, we would like you to have: Approximately 5–9 years of relevant professional experience.

Experience of operational purchasing work, preferably from the mechanical or other manufacturing industry.

Relevant university education in, for example, technology or economics and/or at least three years of experience in purchasing or logistics.

Good understanding of manufacturing processes and the supplier chain within the manufacturing industry.

Good analytical ability and a structured way of working.

Ability to work both independently and together with others.

Good communication skills and good business English.

Good proficiency in purchasing systems and Microsoft Office.

Since the role has many contact surfaces, it is also important that you communicate clearly and feel comfortable switching between different tasks and priorities.
