for the job position
Associate on an electronics research and development project, 1*executor in full-time, for a fixed period of twelve months, i.e., until the completion of the project implementation
Probationary period of 3 months
Job description:
- develops, integrates and functionally validates silicon oxide-based microelectrode array (MEA) systems for application in neuroelectronics research
- plans and conducts electrophysiological experiments, including stimulation and multi-channel acquisition of biological signals via MEA systems
- develops and applies algorithms for processing and analysis in MATLAB, Python or related programming environments
- collaborates with the project manager and international consortium partners in planning, implementing and evaluating research activities
- prepares technical documentation, protocols, reports and presentations related to the development and validation of the neuroelectronic platform
- participates in the preparation of draft proposals for Horizon Europe and project dissemination activities
- performs professional and technical tasks related to the development of the neuroelectronic platform as directed by the project manager
Requirements:
- completed university graduate studies or university integrated undergraduate and graduate studies in the field of technical or natural sciences (electrical engineering, electronics, computer science, biomedical engineering, physics or related field, qualification level 7.1. EQF in accordance with the Croatian Qualifications Framework Act)
- at least 3 (three) years of work experience
- knowledge and experience in programming (C, C++, MATLAB, Python or related programming environment)
- advanced knowledge of English in speaking and writing (level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages)
- advanced knowledge of computer work and office programs (MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Advantage:
- experience in signal processing, scientific programming and development of algorithms for processing biomedical or electrophysiological signals
- experience in the design and development of electronic and microelectronic circuits (PCB) for sensor, measurement, wireless or biomedical applications
- experience with electrophysiological systems and instruments (EEG, MEA or similar)
- experience with neuroelectronic interface technology, cochlear implants or hearing aids
- experience working in a research or clinical environment related to audiology, neuroelectronics or biomedical engineering
- project management and leading project teams in the field of electronics.

For candidates applying to the competition who meet the formal requirements of the competition, a check of knowledge, abilities and skills essential for performing the job duties and/or an interview may be conducted.
In the event that the aforementioned checks are carried out, candidates are obliged to attend them; otherwise, they will be considered to have withdrawn their application to the competition.
A person who has not submitted a timely and regular application or does not meet the formal requirements of the competition is not considered a candidate applied to the competition.

A regular application is considered an application that contains all data and attachments as specified in the competition.
The right to submit an application to the competition is held equally by persons of both sexes.
Candidates who invoke the right of preference in employment based on special regulations are obliged to invoke this right in the application and attach all evidence specified by special regulations for exercising that right.
Such candidates achieve preference in employment compared to other applicants only under equal conditions.

Applications are to be submitted within 8 (eight) days from the day of publication of the competition in "Narodne novine" to the address: Sveučilište u Splitu, Ulica Ruđera Boškovića 31, 21000 Split, with the notation "*Suradnik na projektu za istraživanje i razvoj u elektronici*".
Untimely and incomplete applications will not be considered. Candidates will be notified of the results of the competition within 8 days of the Decision on Selection being made.
