Svenska Bilsportförbundet is seeking an Economic Manager/CFO

Svenska Bilsportförbundet is in an exciting development phase where economic management, long-term sustainability, and strategic leadership are crucial to our continued development. We are therefore seeking an Economic Manager/CFO who wants to be a key person in our management group and contribute to developing Swedish motorsport for the future.

Svenska Bilsportförbundet operates an extensive business with funding from member income, commercial partnerships, corporate activities, as well as national and international development projects. To continue developing Swedish motorsport, we are now seeking an Economic Manager/CFO who sees finance as a strategic tool for growth, sustainability, and member benefit.

About the role

As Economic Manager/CFO, you have the overall responsibility for Svenska Bilsportförbundet's economic management and financial development. The role is significantly broader than traditional financial administration and involves being a partner to the Generalsekreterare, the management group, and the Förbundsstyrelsen. You are responsible for creating the financial conditions that enable a long-term sustainable federation with high transparency, good internal control, and well-founded decision support.

The position may include assignments and financial responsibility for Svenska Bilsportförbundet's wholly or partially owned companies.

Your main areas of responsibility

In the role of Economic Manager/CFO, you will, among other things:

Ø lead and further develop Svenska Bilsportförbundet's economic management,

Ø be responsible for the budget process, operational planning, forecasts, and financial follow-up,

Ø ensure quality in ongoing accounting, closing of accounts, annual reports, and other financial reporting,

Ø develop internal control systems, management models, and financial processes,

Ø be responsible for liquidity planning, financing, and financial risk management,

Ø identify and analyze financial risks as well as suggest measures,

Ø ensure compliance with legislation, accounting frameworks, tax regulations, and grant conditions,

Ø prepare qualified decision support for investments, organizational changes, and potentially other strategic decisions,

Ø develop financial analyses, key performance indicators, and follow-up models that strengthen the organization's governance,

Ø coordinate financial matters between the federation and its companies as well as external partners.

Ø be responsible for economic management, follow-up, and quality assurance of projects financed through, among others, Riksidrottsförbundet (RF), Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA), public grants, as well as other national and international funders,

Ø ensure that conditions for grants, project funds, and external financing are met and develop routines for effective follow-up and reporting,

Ø contribute to identifying and developing new financing opportunities through projects, development funds, and external collaborations.

We are looking for you who

We are looking for a confident and experienced financial leader with a genuine interest in business development and economic management.

We would prefer that you have experience in economic management within organizations where external funding, project funds, and grant-funded activities constitute an important part of the organization's long-term development.

We believe you have:

Ø an academic degree in economics,

Ø several years of experience in qualified financial leadership, preferably as an Economic Manager or similar,

Ø very good knowledge of economic management, accounting, budgeting, financing, and internal control,

Ø experience of working strategically with business development,

Ø good knowledge of Swedish accounting and relevant legislation,

Ø good knowledge of English, both spoken and written.

Meritorious

It is particularly meritorious if you have experience of:

Ø working within the sports movement or other member-driven organizations,

Ø finance in organizations with both non-profit activities, federation activities, and limited companies,

Ø publicly funded activities and grant management,

Ø group-like financial structures or multiple legal entities,

Ø experience of financial management, reporting, and follow-up of projects financed by, for example, Riksidrottsförbundet (RF), FIA, EU programs, or other national and international funders,

Ø experience of working with grant-funded activities and development projects.
