About the company

Susan Ulmer Addiction Services is seeking an experienced, compassionate Registered Therapist/Counsellor to support participants navigating addiction, trauma, grief, mental health concerns, relapse, and complex life circumstances. We are looking for someone who can provide professional, trauma-informed, culturally respectful, person-centred, and non-judgmental care.

Your tasks

• Provide individual and group counselling.
• Complete assessments, treatment planning, and clinical documentation.
• Support participants with addiction, trauma, grief, relapse, emotional regulation, and mental health concerns.
• Provide crisis intervention and relapse-prevention support.
• Coordinate referrals to detox, treatment, healthcare, and community services.
• Support aftercare and ongoing recovery planning.
• Collaborate with counsellors, therapists, outreach staff, healthcare providers, and community partners.

Requirements

• Must be registered and in good standing with an appropriate professional body in Saskatchewan.
• Previous counselling or therapy experience required.
• Experience working with addiction, trauma, grief, mental health, and complex needs.
• Experience working with First Nations people and communities strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care, harm reduction, addiction recovery, and culturally responsive practice.
• Strong assessment, communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.

What we offer

Compensation starts at $27.00/hour, with higher wages available depending on experience, education, registration, and qualifications.
