History Teacher

Job Title: History Teacher Location: Romford, RM7 Contract: Maternity Cover Start Date: January 2027 Job Type: Full-Time (5 days a week) History Teacher Supply Staff Ltd are currently recruiting for a History Teacher to join a secondary school in Romford from January 2027 on a maternity cover basis. The role will involve teaching a timetable consisting primarily of History, alongside some additional Humanities teaching. The successful History Teacher will join a supportive secondary school environment and deliver engaging lessons while maintaining high standards of behaviour and supporting pupils throughout their learning. The Ideal Candidate: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Experience teaching History at secondary level

Strong subject knowledge across History and Humanities

Confident classroom and behaviour management skills

Able to plan and deliver engaging lessons

Committed to supporting pupil progress and achievement

Available to interview before October half term

The Role: This is an opportunity for a History Teacher to take on a maternity cover position from January 2027, with approximately half of the timetable focused on History alongside other Humanities teaching.
