Responsibilities and assignments

Job Objective: Lead the team responsible for the calculation, review, and compliance of the Company's federal taxes, ensuring tax compliance, adequate management of tax risks, and the utilization of tax incentives. Act as a strategic partner to the business, finance, accounting, and legal areas, supporting relevant company operations and projects. Contribute to the implementation of adjustments resulting from the Tax Reform and other legislative changes, providing technical support to Management and the Board in analyses, decision-making processes, and communication with local leadership and the headquarters.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the team responsible for the calculation, review, and collection of federal taxes, including IRPJ, CSLL, PIS, COFINS, withheld taxes, and social security contributions. Ensure the correct preparation and review of federal ancillary obligations, including ECF, ECD, EFD-Contribuições, DCTFWeb, EFD-Reinf, PER/DCOMP, and other applicable declarations.
  • Lead the monthly and annual tax closing processes related to federal taxes.
  • Manage responses to inspections, internal and external audits, as well as demands from regulatory bodies and tax authorities. Coordinate the calculation, control, and maintenance of the Company's tax incentives, including Lei do Bem, Lucro da Exploração, Reduction and Reinvestment benefits, among others applicable.
  • Act as the main reference for the area in topics related to IRPJ and CSLL, ensuring the correct interpretation and application of tax legislation. Support administrative and judicial tax litigation, together with the legal area and external consultancies. Evaluate the tax impacts of commercial, financial, corporate, and investment operations, providing advisory support to business areas. Actively participate in strategic Company projects, including digital transformation initiatives, automation of tax processes, and adjustments resulting from the Tax Reform. Monitor changes in federal tax legislation and develop action plans for their implementation. Support analyses related to Transfer Pricing, monitoring the application of current rules and the impacts on Company operations. Prepare executive presentations and management reports for local leadership and the international headquarters. Define and monitor area performance indicators, promoting continuous process improvement and team development, with collaborative and integrated action with other teams.

Requirements and qualifications

Requirements: Degree in Accounting, Law, or related areas. Specialization, MBA, or postgraduate studies in Taxation, Tax Law, Finance, or related areas will be considered a differentiator. Advanced English (essential for communication with headquarters, reports, and audits). Experience: Solid experience in federal taxation, covering IRPJ, CSLL, PIS, COFINS, withholdings, ancillary obligations, and administrative litigation. Experience in leadership positions and management of tax teams. Involvement in strategic projects, tax incentives, and tax support to the business. Experience in the ports, energy, oil and gas, or LPG segments will be considered a differentiator.

Tools: Experience with ERP systems and corporate management tools, preferably SAP, Sonda, Portal LG, and Workday. Advanced Excel and solid knowledge of the Office Package. Knowledge of Power BI, VBA, Python, and Artificial Intelligence tools will be considered a differentiator.
