Read and Interpret Plans: Study blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications to determine dimensions and project layouts. Measure and Cut: Use hand and power tools (saws, chisels, drills, sanders) to accurately measure, cut, shape, and smooth wood or other materials. Build Frameworks: Construct and erect walls, floors, doorframes, windows, staircases, and roof framing. Install Fixtures: Fit and install cabinets, siding, drywall, insulation, molding, and interior/exterior doors. Inspect and Repair: Assess damaged wooden structures or furniture and perform necessary replacements or reinforcement. Maintain Safety and Compliance: Follow local building codes, wear protective gear, and keep a clean, hazard-free work site. Collaborate: Work alongside project managers, contractors, and other construction trades.
