School Youth Worker (Part-Time / 3 Days a Week)
Key Responsibilities
- Student Intervention & Care Plans: Assess students' unique social-emotional needs and develop tailored case, care, and intervention strategies.
- Programme Development: Design, customise, and deliver evidence-informed youth programmes and engagement activities that address current student needs and interests.
- Group Work Facilitation: Run targeted group work sessions and student support groups, adapting your intervention approach dynamically.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Build trusted, effective partnerships with teachers, school leaders, parents, and external agencies to establish a strong multi-disciplinary support network for at-risk youth.
- Monitoring & Evaluation: Track student progress and utilize strong programme evaluation skills to identify areas for systemic improvement.
Working Hours & Location
- Location: 3 Yishun Street 22, Singapore 768578 (Northland Secondary School)
- Contract Duration: Approx. 9.5-Month Contract (4 January 2027 to 29 October 2027)
- Working Schedule: Fixed 3 days per week (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays).
- Daily Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Includes a 1-hour compulsory lunch break; 8 working hours per day).
Note: Service is not required on weekends and gazetted public holidays. During school vacation periods, duties may be requested on a reduced scale (1 to 2 days per week, up to 8 hours total) either in person or remotely with 5 days advance notice.
Job Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimally holds a Diploma in Social Work, Youth Work , or a strictly equivalent discipline.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in social work or youth work.
- Prior experience working within a Singapore school or youth community setting is highly preferred.
