Key Responsibilities:

  • Enquiry Management: Attend to all incoming phone calls, public enquiries, and incoming deliveries promptly and professionally.
  • Visitor & Stakeholder Care: Greet and assist walk-in students, teachers, parents, vendors, and other school stakeholders with a high degree of care and empathy.
  • Student Welfare & First Aid: Manage the school sick bay, maintain first aid supplies, provide simple first aid treatment to injured or unwell students, and coordinate with parents/relevant stakeholders until the student leaves the school grounds safely.
  • Counter Management: Man the General Office reception counter, ensuring the area remains clean, tidy, and welcoming.
  • Financial & Administrative Support: Call and liaise with parents regarding administrative and financial matters, including GIRO, Edusave applications, and supporting documents for financial assistance schemes.
  • Office Operations: Execute general office administrative duties, including basic data entry, preparing Microsoft Word and Excel documents, managing office supplies inventory, and making operational trips to the Post Office.
  • Ad-Hoc Duties: Assist with other administrative and ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the school authority.

Working Hours & Schedule

You will be assigned to one of the following two shifts:

Shift 1 (Receptionist 1):

  • Mondays to Thursdays: 7:00 AM – 4:15 PM (includes a 45-minute lunch break)
  • Fridays: 7:00 AM – 3:45 PM (includes a 45-minute lunch break)
  • School Holidays: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (includes a 45-minute lunch break)

Shift 2 (Receptionist 2):

  • Mondays to Thursdays: 8:15 AM – 5:30 PM (includes a 45-minute lunch break)
  • Fridays: 8:45 AM – 5:30 PM (includes a 45-minute lunch break)
  • School Holidays: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (includes a 45-minute lunch break)

Job Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in front desk reception or customer service roles. Prior front desk experience in a school environment is preferred, and experience within a local primary school is highly advantageous.
  • Language & Communication: Ability to read, write, and converse fluently in English, with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Personal Attributes: Warm, mature personality demonstrating patience, empathy, and a strong customer-service mindset.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in basic Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel) and data entry operations.
  • Certifications: Candidates possessing a valid Basic First Aid with CPR + AED certification are highly preferred.
