Audio Visual (AV) Assistant
π Working Hours & Schedule
- Days: Mondays to Fridays
- Time: 7:00 AM β 3:00 PM (Includes a 1-hour lunch break)
- Rest Days: Off on Saturdays, Sundays, and all gazetted Public Holidays.
π Core Responsibilities
You will provide overall technical and multimedia support to ensure the smooth execution of daily school operations, events, and digital programmes.
- On-Site Technical Operations & Event Support
- AV Setup & Dismantling: Set up, test, operate, and tear down audio-visual equipment for school assemblies, presentations, and events.
- Presenter Assistance: Assist speakers, teachers, and external event organizers with their specific AV and presentation layouts.
- Live Production: Manage live streaming, multi-camera video recording, photography, hybrid meetings, and virtual events.
- Troubleshooting & Maintenance
- System Diagnostics: First-line troubleshooting of audio, video, hardware connectivity, and media systems.
- Escalation Management: Coordinate and escalate complex technical breakdowns to upper management (HOD/SH ICT) or external contractors when necessary.
- Inventory & Safety: Ensure all physical media assets are tracked, safely stored, and operated strictly under workplace safety guidelines.
- Training & Knowledge Sharing
- Skills Training: Plan and conduct basic media or hardware knowledge-sharing sessions for school staff and students to increase tech self-sufficiency.
π― Job Requirements
- Education: Minimum Diploma in an AV, media, IT, electronics , or a closely related field.
- Experience: Preferably 2 years of working experience as an AV Executive, Multimedia Technician, or an equivalent role. Experience with live event technology, broadcasting mixers, or video conferencing systems is highly advantageous.
- Technical Skills: Confident operating microphones, sound mixers, amplifiers, projectors, professional cameras, and presentation tools. Fluent proficiency in Microsoft Office applications .
- Soft Skills: Strong independent worker who also thrives in a fast-paced collaborative team environment. Excellent organization and communication skills in English.
