The Pre-school Teacher creates a secure, trusting learning environment that supports children’s holistic development through culturally appropriate curricula, strong family partnerships, and active participation in centre and community initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Build trusting relationships with children to foster a secure and supportive learning environment
- Apply health, safety, nutritional, and hygiene standards consistently to ensure child well-being
- Guide children’s social and emotional growth and build their confidence through targeted activities
- Deliver core early childhood education values through organized events and interactions
- Develop and maintain respectful, trusting relationships with children to support their development
- Review and adapt teaching and learning approaches aligned with Curriculum Frameworks to enhance educational outcomes
- Establish and maintain effective home-centre partnerships to support children’s learning and development
- Design and maintain quality learning environments that stimulate engagement and growth
- Demonstrate understanding and alignment with the centre’s vision, mission, and values in daily practices
- Exhibit ethics and professionalism in all interactions and responsibilities
- Participate actively in centre initiatives and programmes to contribute to organisational goals
- Collaborate on projects with school stakeholders to enhance educational delivery and community engagement
- Engage in continuous learning and reflective practices to improve teaching effectiveness
- Foster positive workplace relationships and teamwork to support a collaborative culture
- Assess and respond to the learning and developmental needs of children from birth to age 8
- Manage classroom dynamics effectively and document children’s learning progress accurately
