We are looking for passionate and skilled waiters for our team at Ravintola Aihki, as part of the Sunday Morning Resort whole in Pyhätunturi.
Aihki is known for its high-level modern North Scandinavian cuisine, where local and pure ingredients take center stage. Our restaurant has been selected twice among Kauppalehti Option's best restaurants in Finland (2022 & 2023, rating 16+). Aihki combines responsibility, local production, and modern Nordic gastronomy, creating unforgettable experiences for our guests.
This position is perfect for you if you love customer service, high-quality food, and want to be part of an atmospheric, high-quality restaurant where the flavors of Lapland take the leading role.
Your duties include:
Receiving and serving guests at Ravintola Aihki with professionalism and a warm approach during breakfast, lunch, and dinner
Presenting and serving dishes and drinks to customers, including information about ingredients and the kitchen's philosophy
Ensuring smooth and attentive table service, especially during dinner service
Preparing and closing the restaurant area at the beginning and end of the shift
Managing reservations as well as cooperating with the kitchen and reception to ensure seamless service
Promoting the sale of wines, drinks, and special menus as the situation requires
Maintaining the cleanliness and order of the restaurant area
We value:
Education in the field or previous work experience in restaurant work, especially in a fine dining environment or high-quality à la carte service
Interest in high-level food, Nordic cuisine, and excellent customer service
Good interpersonal skills and a cheerful, positive attitude
Excellent English language skills; good command of Finnish is a great advantage, as we also serve many domestic customers. Other language skills are a plus, as our customers arrive from many different countries.
A flexible and quick work attitude, as well as the ability to work calmly and professionally even in the middle of a rush
A genuine desire to create unforgettable restaurant experiences for our guests
