Hr Supervisor – Employee Relations

Key Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day Employee Relations (ER) activities for factory employees, particularly shop-floor and frontline workers. Handle employee grievances, complaints, disputes, and workplace conflicts in a fair, timely, and professional manner. Manage disciplinary cases, including misconduct investigations, show-cause notices, warnings, suspensions, and other disciplinary actions in accordance with company policies and applicable labour laws. Monitor and manage employee attendance, absenteeism, lateness, and other attendance-related issues. Conduct employee investigations, interviews, and fact-finding activities and prepare appropriate case documentation. Provide HR guidance to Production and other department managers on employee relations and disciplinary matters. Ensure consistent implementation of company policies, employee handbook, work rules, and disciplinary procedures. Support the resolution of labour disputes and employee-related legal matters. Maintain accurate and confidential records of employee complaints, disciplinary cases, investigations, and other ER matters. Monitor employee relations trends and provide regular reports and recommendations to HR management. Support employee communication activities and maintain effective communication between management and frontline employees. Support engagement with employee representatives, worker committees, and trade unions where applicable. Identify potential employee relations risks and recommend preventive measures to management. Work closely with HR, Production, Administration, Security, and other departments to maintain a stable and positive workplace environment. Perform other HR duties and projects assigned by the HR Manager.

Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Labour Relations, Business Administration , or a related field. Minimum 5 years of relevant HR experience , preferably in a manufacturing or large-scale industrial environment. At least 2–3 years of hands-on experience in Employee Relations / Industrial Relations . Strong knowledge of Ghanaian labour laws and employment regulations . Proven experience handling disciplinary cases, employee grievances, absenteeism, misconduct, workplace conflicts, and employee complaints. Strong investigation, problem-solving, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both shop-floor employees and management . Experience working with trade unions, worker representatives, or employee committees will be an advantage. Strong documentation and case-management skills. Ability to handle confidential and sensitive employee matters professionally. Strong ability to work independently and make sound HR judgments. Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural manufacturing environment.
