Introduction

About us We are a leading manufacturer of high-performance films and packaging solutions for the food, non-food, and medical goods industries, as well as custom compounds for technically demanding applications. As a family-run, internationally active company headquartered in Upper Swabia, we employ over 1,700 people at seven production sites in Europe and 23 sales offices. We are committed to sustainable development and fulfill our responsibility as an employer as well as towards society, the environment, and our customers. We have already received multiple awards for our sustainable product developments as well as for our consistent commitment to a functioning circular economy in the plastics industry. We are among the best in our industry. To remain in the top group permanently, we invest heavily in the further development of our employees and in the training of our young talent. We are looking for a Group Accountant (m/f/d) for our location in Ochsenhausen at the earliest possible date.

Tasks

Your main task is the preparation and consolidation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with current HGB regulations. You are responsible for the preparation of the consolidated financial statements. In doing so, you ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards. You analyze and comment on financial data and subsequently prepare them in reports and presentations for management and external stakeholders. You coordinate projects for the further development and optimization of group accounting and the group-wide accounting policy; this includes, among other things, the implementation and maintenance of the consolidation tool Lucanet, for which you hold primary responsibility. You are also responsible for performing and monitoring intercompany reconciliations and postings. You work together with internal and external auditors, your colleagues at home and abroad, as well as with other departments within the company, and serve as a contact person for questions regarding individual financial statements according to HGB and other corporate law issues.

Profile

You have successfully completed your studies in business administration, ideally with a focus on accounting or finance, and have already acquired several years of professional experience in the field of group accounting or in an auditing firm. You have sound knowledge of accounting according to HGB. Confident use of MS Office, and especially Excel, is a matter of course for you; experience with Lucanet and ERP systems is an advantage. You are characterized by analytical thinking skills and a structured way of working. Your ability to work in a team and your strong communication skills make you a successful project manager. Since our second corporate language is English, we require very good written and spoken skills.
