Operations Manager (M/F)

This position is created to solve a specific problem: our deliveries are systematically late, and we find out too late. The function of steering the order → delivery flow does not exist today. Your mission is to build it, structure it, and maintain it. You are not taking over a position: you are creating it, with the direct support of general management.

Your missions

You are the owner of everything that happens between the customer order and the on-site delivery:

• Planning and scheduling: single planning for all projects, manufacturing milestones by subcontractor, leading the weekly review of ongoing projects.
• Subcontractor monitoring: implementation and management of mandatory weekly reporting from partner boilermakers (milestones, photos, alerts), early detection of deviations and recovery plans.
• Contract review upon ordering: validation of deadline feasibility before commercial commitment to the client.
• Purchasing: procurement of components, negotiation, identification and qualification of suppliers in France and abroad.
• Kitting and shipment preparation: supervision of the preparation of component pallets shipped to assembly partners, with zero missing parts as the standard.
• International logistics: transport, incoterms, customs and freight insurance to six subcontracting countries.
• Supplier quality and technical files: reception control, management of non-conformities, creation of compliance files delivered to clients (material certificates, test reports).
• Technical support: responding to first-level technical questions from manufacturing partners, in connection with the design office.
• Client communication on deadlines: proactive information to clients in case of unforeseen events: with us, bad news is announced early, with a plan.
• Tools: you will be the first user and a key player in the deployment of our future internal ERP/MRP.

Your profile

• Technical training (BTS/DUT/professional license - mechanics, industrialization, QLIO, supply chain) with 5 to 10 years of experience in an SME industrial environment
• Proven experience in managing subcontracting or remote production
• Fluent professional English - indispensable, it is your daily working language
• Ability to read plans and sufficient mechanical culture to communicate with boilermakers
• Mastery of digital tools and an appetite for ERP
• Temperament: structured, autonomous, tenacious. You follow up, you anticipate, you do not just react. You know how to say no to a supplier as well as to a salesperson
