Shopify Solutions Consultant

About the company

At Strix, we are looking for someone to help our clients make sound decisions regarding Shopify implementation and development. You will conduct discovery, select solutions, create backlogs, and prepare working demos. You will join the implementation team, and your recommendations will form the basis of projects that you may later become involved in executing.

Your tasks

• Conducting workshops and client interviews, learning their processes, and translating business needs into the Shopify implementation scope.
• Creating solution concepts and recommending the appropriate Shopify plan, functionalities, apps, and integrations.
• Assessing which requirements can be fulfilled through platform configuration, which require a ready-made app, and which require developer work.
• Searching for, installing, and testing apps, as well as checking their fit for client needs, constraints, and costs.
• Preparing backlogs, scopes of work, and assumptions for quotes, and collaborating with the technical team on estimations.
• Presenting recommendations to clients and demonstrating them in practice through configured demo stores, prototypes, and sample scenarios.
• Supporting the Sales team with expert knowledge during the preparation of offers and responses to RFPs.
• Participating in the configuration and implementation of Shopify stores as well as the development of existing solutions, depending on project needs.
• Using AI tools to streamline the preparation of demos, prototypes, and materials, and verifying the quality of the results obtained.
• Sharing knowledge with the team and developing internal Shopify competencies.

Requirements

Do you know Shopify well enough to translate a client's idea into a concrete solution during a conversation? Do you know when platform configuration is enough, when it is worth using a ready-made app, and when developer support will be needed?

• Practical, advanced knowledge of Shopify, including fluent work in the admin panel, store configuration, and understanding the platform's capabilities and limitations.
• Experience in implementing or developing stores and the ability to discuss your own decisions, selected solutions, and solved problems.
• Ability to select apps and integrations, assess available options, test them, and justify recommendations.
• Analytical thinking skills and the ability to translate business needs into requirements, a backlog, and a clear scope of work.
• Fluency in client communication, asking the right questions, conducting presentations, and explaining solutions to people with varying levels of technical knowledge.
• Independence in searching for information, testing solutions in practice, and identifying risks.
• Practical use of AI tools when preparing prototypes, demos, or in daily work with the platform.
• English language proficiency at B2/C1 level.

Nice to have

• Experience with Shopify Plus.
• Participation in discovery, preparing quotes, or presales support.
• Experience with migrations, international sales, or complex integrations.
• Experience in conducting webinars and creating educational materials.
