VP, Risk Manager – Financial Institutions / NBFIs

StriveX is partnering with a Regional Bank who is seeking a Senior Risk Manager to join their Financial Institutions / Non-Bank Financial Institutions credit risk team. The role will be responsible for assessing and monitoring credit risk exposures across Asia-Pacific, while partnering closely with Sales and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and manage credit risk across a portfolio of banks and non-bank financial institutions across Asia-Pacific.
• Prepare and independently manage credit applications and ratings, including submissions to senior credit decision-making committees.
• Conduct detailed financial, balance sheet and banking-system analysis to evaluate the creditworthiness of financial institution counterparties.
• Monitor existing exposures and covered institutions, identifying emerging credit risks and changes in the operating environment.
• Partner closely with Sales and internal stakeholders to support client activity, credit decisions and business initiatives.
• Contribute to new business and product initiatives, providing risk perspectives and practical credit solutions across the financial institutions business.

Key Requirements

• 8-10 years of experience in Financial Institutions credit risk, preferably covering banks and/or non-bank financial institutions across Asia-Pacific.
• Strong expertise in credit and balance-sheet analysis of banks and NBFIs, together with an understanding of banking systems.
• Demonstrated experience in credit assessment, rating and preparation of credit applications.
• Strong analytical, structured and strategic thinking, with sound judgement and independent decision-making ability.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with Sales and internal stakeholders in an international environment.
