Your tasks

Handle a varied portfolio of commercial insurance clients, with exposure to Motor Fleet, Motor Trade and wider business insurance risks. This Account Handler opportunity in Bromsgrove offers a salary of £30,000-£35,000, flexible hybrid working and the chance to develop your technical broking knowledge within an established commercial insurance business.

You'll be supporting clients with their renewals, policy adjustments and day-to-day insurance requirements, working across accounts of different sizes and complexities. The business has particular strengths in motor-related risks but also handles a broad range of general commercial insurance.

The opportunity This is a hands-on commercial insurance broking role, where you'll work closely with clients, insurers and colleagues to deliver a reliable, knowledgeable service.

• Commercial account handling: Support a portfolio of business clients, managing renewals, policy adjustments and ongoing insurance requirements.
• Varied client exposure: Work with accounts involving premiums of up to approximately £150,000, providing opportunities to develop your experience with larger risks.
• Motor specialisms: Handle Motor Fleet and Motor Trade business alongside wider commercial insurance products.
• Insurer negotiations: Obtain quotations, negotiate renewal terms and work with insurers to arrange suitable coverage.
• Client relationships: Build strong working relationships with clients, understanding their businesses and responding to their insurance needs.
• Broader development: Gain exposure to a business developing its presence in S&A and international insurance markets.

Requirements

Who would suit it? This opportunity would suit an experienced Commercial Insurance Account Handler who enjoys technical broking and working closely with clients.

You'll ideally bring

• Experience in commercial insurance account handling within a broking environment.
• Knowledge of Motor Fleet, Motor Trade or wider commercial insurance products.
• Experience managing renewals, mid-term adjustments and insurer negotiations.
• The ability to organise your workload and maintain a high standard of client service.
• A willingness to develop your technical knowledge and take on more complex accounts over time.

You don't need to be a specialist in every class of commercial insurance. A solid broking background and the willingness to learn will be valuable.
