Tandem Sr Backend

Location: CDMX Modality: Hybrid

We are looking for a professional with a degree in Engineering or Systems (or related field) with solid experience in HP NonStop (Tandem), focused on backend development and modernization of legacy applications. You will be responsible for designing and exposing web services, ensuring efficient, secure, and scalable solutions.

Indispensable requirements?

• Minimum of five years of experience in Tandem systems (Guardian, OSS, Pathway, Webgate).
• Knowledge of JDK version 11 or higher.
• Mastery of programming languages such as C, COBOL, Java SE, TAL, and GUARDIAN.
• Experience in debugging serverclass components and batch processes in Tandem environments.
• Knowledge of SQLMP and SQLMX databases.
• Knowledge of SOAP/XML and REST/JSON services.
• Solid knowledge of application architecture.
• Minimum of three years of experience in desktop and/or web application development.
• Minimum of three years of experience working with multiple programming languages.
• Advanced knowledge of relational databases such as SQL Server and Sybase.
• Knowledge of implementing security models.
• High mastery of programming logic.
• Intermediate English (B1)

Main functions

Analyze existing processes, programs, and routines in Tandem (COBOL, C, or Java) to evaluate their viability as web services Design and develop SOAP and/or REST services using tools such as Pathway and Webgate Execute unit, functional, and regression tests Validate service performance and ensure compliance with established service levels (SLAs) Participate in integration and continuous deployment processes through the use of Guardian scripts, TACL, and pipelines Document architecture, integration diagrams, and service contracts (WSDL, XSD, Swagger/OpenAPI) Comprehensively document developed services, including the relationship between databases and data structures Keep the inventory of services, versions, and dependencies updated Ensure compliance with architecture guidelines, security, and corporate standards Address and follow up on production incidents related to implemented developments Promote a collaborative work environment.
