Safety Engineer - Process Safety

ABOUT THE ROLE

• Be responsible for and develop the company's systematic safety work.
• Work with process safety and risk management within gas and process operations.
• Conduct and document risk assessments and safety analyses.
• Develop, document, and improve technical processes and work routines.
• Initiate and drive preventive safety and improvement measures.
• Participate in investigations of incidents, deviations, and near-misses, as well as ensure follow-up of measures.
• Ensure that the operation works according to relevant laws, regulatory requirements, standards, and internal safety requirements.
• Act as a technical support to the organization in matters concerning processes, gas, chemistry, and safety.
• Participate in technical projects, changes, and investments from a process and safety perspective.
• Educate and support employees to create a strong and long-term safety mindset throughout the organization.

WHO ARE YOU?

• We are looking for someone with a technical college or university education, for example in chemical engineering, process engineering, energy engineering, or a corresponding field.
• You have a genuine interest in safety and understand the importance of structured processes, risk awareness, and preventive work.
• As a person, you are analytical, structured, and solution-oriented. You are confident in taking responsibility and have the ability to translate technical requirements and regulations into practical and functioning working methods.
• The role involves many contact surfaces, which means you need to be communicative and able to collaborate with production and technology as well as management and external parties.

EXPERIENCE

• Relevant technical college or university education in, for example, chemistry, process, energy, or equivalent.
• Good technical understanding of processes and process safety.
• Ability to work in a structured manner with risk assessments, documentation, and improvement work.
• Very good knowledge of English, both spoken and written – this is a requirement.
• Good communication skills and easy to collaborate with different parts of the organization.

MERITORING

• Experience working with process safety, risk analyses, or safety management.
• Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards within gas, chemistry, and the process industry.
• Experience in driving technical projects and improvement work.
• Previous experience from the process industry, the gas industry, or the chemical industry.
