Chemical Engineering Engineer to Stora Enso Pulp Competence Centre this summer

Pulp Competence Centre is a unit within Stora Enso Biomaterials and we work as experts in pulp manufacturing and its unit processes. In our R&D department, we work on developing and optimizing our current processes as well as developing solutions for new products and processes for the future. We work with all our pulp mills within the group, which means many different contact surfaces and great variety in the work. For the summer of 2019, we are looking for a chemical engineering student or similar who is interested in process and pulp technology. In your work, you will perform tasks that our specialists need help with in their projects. The work may be focused on process improvement and optimization as well as on the development of new applicable solutions for our production units. Process modeling and simulation may also become assignments depending on competence and interest.

The working period is 2-3 months and will be determined in consultation with the applicant. Ideally, the work begins in late May/early June. Qualifications.

We believe that you are in the final stages of your studies for a Master of Science in Engineering and that you are also interested in doing a thesis job with us in the future. As a person, you are curious, driven, and result-oriented. Accuracy is important to you and you communicate fluently in English both orally and in writing. Experience from the process and forestry industry is a merit.
