Job duties

The holder shall conduct courses at both undergraduate and advanced levels in finance. The job duties also include supervision of students at various levels, course development, course responsibility, and own research. Teaching is conducted largely in English.

Qualification requirements

To be qualified for employment as an Associate Professor in Business Administration with a specialization in finance, one must have obtained a doctoral degree in Business Administration with a specialization in corporate finance or financial economics, or have a Swedish or foreign degree assessed to correspond to such a doctoral degree.

To be assessed as qualified, the applicant must demonstrate documented pedagogical experience and skill in teaching corporate finance or financial economics.

Pedagogical skill must have been demonstrated through teaching at both undergraduate and advanced levels in finance. The skill must be well documented in a way that makes it possible to assess the quality of the pedagogical activities.

Assessment criteria

When making the appointment, special weight will be attached to pedagogical skill demonstrated through own teaching at undergraduate and advanced levels as well as supervision, course responsibility, and pedagogical development within the subject discipline of finance.

Great importance is also attached to experience of teaching within corporate finance.

Weight is attached to administrative skill as well as the ability to collaborate with society and to inform about research and development work.

Meritorious is higher education pedagogical training of at least 15 higher education credits or equivalent knowledge acquired in other ways.

About the employment

The employment, with a scope of 50% of full-time, is time-limited for a period of seven (7) months. Stockholm University applies individual salary setting. More than one applicant may be hired. Commencement by agreement.
