Guides/Display Hosts for Läckö Slott

We are looking for You who want to work as a guide/display host at Läckö slott. Adequate education within the cultural field, e.g., in art, history, cultural heritage conservation, archaeology, etc., is welcome, as is experience in speaking before large groups.

We assume that You have an outgoing working style with good collaborative skills. Service and good hospitality are extremely important to us, which means that You should have a high sense of service and a genuine interest in conveying knowledge/information to all the people who daily visit the area around Läckö Slott and the biosphere area. You should also have a great interest in personal interaction with people. You are used to working independently and have a strong inner drive. It is important that You contribute to creating job satisfaction and that You have a positive outlook. Good language skills in English are a requirement; knowledge of German is an extra merit. It is an advantage if you have a driver's license and access to a car. Working with us as a guide/display host means conveying the history of Läckö Slott and the area in an exciting, inspiring, and pedagogical way to all the guests who visit us every year. The position also includes work as an exhibition guard. The positions primarily cover the period from mid-June to the end of August. Läckö Slott is scenicially located on a peninsula by Vänern in Lidköpings kommun, Västergötland, and constitutes one of the largest tourist destinations in the region. Stiftelsen Läckö Slott conducts extensive public cultural activities including exhibitions, guided tours, children's activities, castle garden, production of opera, as well as broad activities in naturum Vänerskärgården – Victoriahuset.
