Substitute Technical Coordinator

We are looking for someone with high technical theater competence and experience from theater or dance. To thrive with us, we believe it is important that you enjoy working independently and having many balls in the air. In the role of technical coordinator, it is required that you are structured, driven, and responsible with an eye for the big picture. We would prefer if you have relevant technical theater education, or at least 3 years of professional experience within technical theater.

• Solid experience as a touring technician
• Very good knowledge of lighting technology
• Knowledge of technical problem-solving
• Knowledge of English in speech and writing
• Good computer skills
• Ability to collaborate
• Good ability for independent work

It is meritorious if you also have:

• Knowledge of wordpress
• Experience from lighting dance

Dansnät Sverige is looking for a substitute technical coordinator during the 2018/2019 season. The workplace is Dansnät Sveriges office at Dansens Hus in Stockholm. The office consists of an operations manager, a producer, and a technical coordinator.

The technical coordinator assists and supports Dansnät Sveriges partners with technical knowledge and planning regarding the choice of productions and venues. This includes contacting venues and Swedish and international companies regarding technical information and tour planning, as well as determining technical support and defining options of action during technical adaptation. Furthermore, the technical coordinator is responsible for the technical planning of Dansnät Sveriges national co-production.

A large part of the work consists of contacts with Dansnät Sveriges partners as well as technicians at approximately 30 venues connected to Dansnät Sverige. Additionally, regular contacts with international and Swedish touring companies and their technicians. Dansnät Sveriges office is part of the Dansens Hus organization.

Dansnät Sverige is an organizer network with 12 partners and over 30 venues throughout Sweden.

• We tour approximately 15 international and Swedish-produced dance productions annually.
• We co-produce dance productions
• We work with competence within technology, communication, and organizing around stage dance
• We work with information regarding the art of dance

Dansnät Sveriges office consists of an operations manager, producer, and technical coordinator and is responsible for tour scheduling, co-production, and technical coordination between venues and touring groups.
