English Teacher grades 4-6

BMSL is a multilingual preschool and compulsory school with teaching according to the Swedish curriculum. From one year of age to ninth grade, our students pass through the same gate here in central Lund. This provides security and continuity for both students, teachers, and parents. Perhaps this is an explanation as to why many students see the school as their second home. Precisely well-being and community are important to us. We want to be the school students long to go to. For several years, our simple philosophy has contributed to us achieving some of Sweden's best knowledge results and also having students who dare to be themselves.

Today there are 44 children in the preschool and approximately 370 students in the compulsory school F-9. Educators and children/students come from different countries and varying cultures. BMSL is a very stimulating and dynamic workplace.

We are now seeking: English Teacher for grades 4-6 with English as a native language starting January 2019.

You will work in one of the school's three work teams. You will teach in both full classes and half classes. In addition to your lessons, you "language bathe" the students, i.e., you always speak English with the children regardless of whether you meet the students in the classrooms, in the corridors, or outside during recess. Swedish compulsory school teacher qualification and teacher certification as required by the position are required. It is meritorious if you have Montessori training or experience with the pedagogy.
