Your tasks:

• You are responsible for the budget of assigned product groups and are responsible group-wide for developing, further developing, and communicating a procurement strategy
• You monitor international procurement markets, recognize trends and changes, and create market and supplier analyses in your area of responsibility
• As part of supplier management, you search for suitable suppliers worldwide, qualify them until the start of series production, and support them with regular visits; in risk management, you identify weaknesses and improvement potential, initiate corrective measures, and continuously evaluate supplier performance in series business
• You identify savings potential, initiate cost reduction measures together with interface departments, and are responsible for independently conducting purchasing negotiations and concluding price and condition agreements as well as framework agreements
• In operational procurement management, you place initial orders with suppliers, are responsible for deadline monitoring and on-time delivery, check invoice discrepancies, process any complaints and field failures, and are responsible for master data maintenance in the SAP system; in escalation management, you are an important instance
• New projects are technically accompanied by you in close coordination with the responsible project buyers; you make decisions in the nomination process

Your profile:

• You have a completed degree in the fields of industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, business administration, or comparable
• In addition, you bring several years of professional experience in strategic and technically oriented purchasing in an international sourcing environment
• You possess a good technical understanding, a quick grasp of new concepts, and a willingness to learn, as well as business-fluent English skills in speaking and writing
• In supplier meetings, you convince with your experience in negotiation management, paired with distinct negotiation skills and strong communication skills
• Strategic and analytical thinking characterizes you, enabling you to initiate and enforce procurement strategies
• In your daily work, you convince through a high degree of result orientation and methodological competence (e.g., cost structure analysis, TCO, product group management, and SRM), good persuasiveness, as well as entrepreneurial thinking and action
