Senior Product Engineer (SPE) (m/f/d)

Your Task

• Assumption of development tasks from PDIP and P-40-10 to achieve project milestones and goals in the function of TPL-E.
• Independent development of individual components and modules from concept to series production
• Technical management and documentation of a project
• Responsible for reporting the PD project status regarding resources, technical solutions, costs, deadlines, and quality
• Steering the specialist departments in the project (within the TPL-E tasks)
• Development and evaluation of technical detailed solutions in the project in cooperation with the project team
• Collaboration in the procurement of prototypes
• Component presentation and installation trials at the customer
• Creation and evaluation of technical changes within the framework of SMP Changemanagement
• Evaluation of test and measurement reports - coordination and tracking of required optimization measures
• Processing of project acquisitions with regard to technical aspects
• Interpretation of simulation and test results & development of solutions in case of insufficient results
• Plastic-appropriate development and design of components, modules, and systems
• Development of Design-FMEAs and list of special characteristics
• Performance of tolerance calculations
• Creation of requirement and specification documents
• Development and documentation of development-related Lessons Learned information
• Checking cross-project concepts, optimizing if necessary, and subsequently communicating them within the development team

Your Profile

• University degree in an engineering course of study, technician, technical draftsman, or corresponding technical training with professional experience
• Knowledge of project management and in the automotive industry required
• Good knowledge of common PC applications (MS Office, SAP, etc.)
• English skills, Spanish desirable
• Good knowledge in the conception and development of automotive parts, as well as pronounced knowledge of plastic processing, extensive process knowledge (joining technology, joining techniques, surface finishing, etc.) required
• Knowledge of automotive methods (quality planning, FMEA, sampling, etc.) necessary
• Relevant professional experience in a working environment with OEMs (min. 2-3 years) demonstrated
