Direct Care Staff

At Stepping Stone we provide services for a variety of consumers within the Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) including Day Programs and Habilitation services. We strive to improve our consumers self-help skills, communication skills, socialization skills and adaptive skills. Mentoring our consumers and providing a comfortable/ safe environment is one of our top priorities. Our Day Programs provide daily activities for the consumers to attend Monday through Friday from 8:00AM-4:00PM. Scheduled hours: 8A-4PM Job description for the ideal candidate: -Keeping a compassionate and professional attitude while on shift. -Punctual and responsible -Constant supervision of individuals based on their specific needs -Assisting with daily life skills/ needs -Program records and documenting activities -Constant communication with peers and supervisor -Following instructions -Participating in activities/ outings -Incident reporting -Cleaning/ Sanitizing -Assisting with transportation (if applicable) Candidates with experience in the field are highly encouraged; however, we will assist in completing training for candidates with no experience. Job Requirements: -Must be able to obtain a Fingerprint Clearance Card -Must provide (2) forms of identification ensuring you are able to work within the United States -Must provide 3 References (Cannot be related) -GED or Highschool Diploma -Must be at least 21 years of age -Article 9 (Training Certificate) -CPR/ First Aid (Training Certificate) -Prevention and Support (Training Certificate) -Abuse, Neglect and Exploitation (Training Certificate) -MVD Record (if applicable) Benefits: -Accumulate PTO after 6 months of employment -(2) 15 minute breaks -Sick time Job Type: Full-time Pay: $16.75 - $17.00 per hour Benefits: Health insurance Paid time off Work Location: In person
