Business Development Director

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop strategic partnerships with overseas educational institutions, colleges, universities and training organisations.
• Develop priority overseas markets (China) for student recruitment.
• Establish articulation, progression and overseas pathway opportunities where appropriate.
• Represent the institution in meetings and negotiations with strategic partners locally and internationally.
• Identify new business opportunities that support the institution's growth and diversification.
• Develop new programmes, market opportunities and commercial initiatives in collaboration with academic and management teams.
• Represent the institution at overseas education fairs, conferences, business meetings and networking events.
• Build the institution's profile and reputation within relevant international education markets.
• Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of business development opportunities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Marketing or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in business development, corporate development, strategic partnerships, investment, technology or related sectors.
• Demonstrated experience in developing strategic partnerships and new business opportunities.
• Strong commercial and financial understanding with the ability to evaluate business and investment opportunities.
• Experience working with senior management, boards, investors or other senior stakeholders.
• Strong negotiation, presentation and relationship-management skills.
• International business experience and an established professional network will be an advantage.
