Your tasks
We are looking for a professional to take over the leadership of the Center of Excellence (COE) for Middleware, Storage, Database, and Operating Systems (Linux/Unix), acting as a technical and people reference for the discipline. The COE Leader will have a strategic role in professional development, strengthening technical competencies, technological evolution, and ensuring the excellence of deliveries. They will act in partnership with the Client Face, responsible for account management and relationship. Mandatory language: fluent English or fluent Spanish, considering the interaction with clients and nearshore/LATAM teams. Be the main technical and people reference for the discipline, promoting professional development, continuous evolution of competencies, and technical excellence. Ensure the formation of qualified teams and the allocation of the most suitable professionals for each need, in partnership with the Client Face.

Requirements and qualifications Main responsibilities People management and development Lead and develop professionals in the discipline, promoting career evolution, technical mentoring, and continuous training. Identify competency gaps and structure development plans. Act in talent retention and appreciation. Ensure the team is prepared to meet current and future demands. Governance and technical excellence Define, implement, and maintain technical standards, frameworks, and best practices. Ensure the quality, standardization, and efficiency of delivered solutions. Establish guidelines for architecture, operation, maintenance, and technological evolution. Technological evolution and innovation Build and lead the technological roadmap of the discipline. Encourage the adoption of new technologies, certifications, and market practices. Promote the application of Artificial Intelligence in platforms, focusing on automation, self-healing, predictive analysis, and the creation of solution libraries. Capacity management and business support Support capacity planning and professional allocation. Participate in the construction of commercial proposals and pricing, contributing with technical sizing, effort estimation, seniority, and team composition. Act in partnership with the Client Face and other stakeholders, connecting business needs to the COE's technical capabilities.
- Technical requirements
Operating Systems – Linux/Unix Experience with Linux distributions: RHEL, SUSE, Oracle Linux, and Ubuntu. Knowledge in Unix: AIX and Solaris. Administration of environments, shell scripting, hardening, and patch management. Database Knowledge in Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and DB2. Experience with high availability and disaster recovery (HA/DR), performance tuning, and backup/restore routines. Middleware Administration of application servers: WebLogic, WebSphere, JBoss/WildFly, and Tomcat. Knowledge in web servers: Apache and Nginx. Experience with messaging solutions, such as IBM MQ and Kafka. Storage Experience with SAN/NAS solutions, including Dell, NetApp, Pure Storage, IBM, and Hitachi. Knowledge in Fibre Channel, iSCSI, replication, capacity planning, and integration with backup solutions. Leadership and management Experience in leading and mentoring technical teams. Ability to define standards, structure processes, and conduct technical governance. Good communication and articulation with stakeholders, clients, and Client Faces.

Experience in pricing and building technical proposals, including effort sizing, seniority, and team composition. Knowledge and application of Artificial Intelligence in platforms and operations, including predictive capacity analysis, query tuning, AI-assisted troubleshooting, and automation of routines through Ansible and scripts. Fluent English or fluent Spanish.

- Differentials
Experience with containers and orchestration, including Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes. RHCE, Oracle OCP, and Storage manufacturer certifications. Experience with managed databases in the cloud, such as AWS RDS, Azure SQL, and OCI. Knowledge in SAP HANA. ITIL 4 Foundation or ITIL 4 Managing Professional. Cloud fundamentals, such as AZ-900 or AWS Cloud Practitioner. Artificial Intelligence fundamentals, such as AI-900 (Azure AI Fundamentals) or AWS AI Practitioner.
