Your tasks

Responsibilities and assignments We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer with solid experience in Data Engineering and relevant experience with Microsoft Fabric and/or AWS Databricks.

We seek a professional with a strong conceptual foundation, capable of moving between different data technologies and architectures, acting from the ingestion and transformation of information to its availability for Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, and data products.

The professional will have the autonomy to take responsibility for deliveries, participate in technical decisions, and interact with different stakeholders in a consulting environment.

Main responsibilities

• Design and develop robust, scalable, and monitorable data pipelines.
• Implement solutions for:
• Ingestion;
• Transformation;
• Integration;
• Data availability.
• Act in modern data architectures, including:
• Data Lake;
• Lakehouse;
• Data Warehouse;
• Analytics Platforms.
• Develop solutions using Microsoft Fabric and/or AWS Databricks.
• Apply Data Engineering concepts independently of the technology or platform used.
• Work in Microsoft Azure and AWS environments.
• Contribute to decisions related to:
• Data architecture;
• Modeling;
• Processing;
• Quality;
• Security;
• Governance.
• Ensure reliability, observability, performance, and maintainability of solutions.
• Collaborate with BI, Data Science, Software Engineering, and business professionals.
• Participate in and lead technical and alignment meetings with clients and stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities for automation and the application of Artificial Intelligence to increase productivity and delivery quality.
• Document solutions, technical decisions, processes, and best practices.
• Take responsibility for the planning, execution, and delivery of data products.

Requirements

Higher education completed in

• Information Technology;
• Computer Engineering;
• Computer Science;
• Information Systems; or related areas.

Senior professional experience in Data Engineering.

Solid knowledge in

• Data Architecture;
• Data modeling and storage;
• Batch and Streaming Processing;
• Data integration and transformation;
• Data Lakes, Lakehouses, and Data Warehouses;
• Quality, governance, security, and data lineage;
• Pipeline orchestration and monitoring;
• Development, testing, versioning, and CI/CD.

Practical experience with Microsoft Fabric and/or AWS Databricks.

Ability to act on different platforms, understanding Data Engineering fundamentals regardless of the technology.

Proven experience in Microsoft Azure and AWS environments.

Experience using Artificial Intelligence applied to professional activities.

Ability to demonstrate concrete productivity gains obtained with AI, such as:

• Task automation;
• Development acceleration;
• Documentation support;
• Problem analysis and resolution;
• Improvement of delivery quality.

Technical English for reading documentation, articles, and area materials.

Experience with Microsoft Fabric components, such as

• Data Factory;
• Lakehouse;
• Data Warehouse;
• Spark;
• Notebooks;
• Pipelines.

Experience with Databricks, including

• Notebooks;
• Clusters;
• Delta Lake;
• Workflows;
• Governance features.

Knowledge of Apache Spark, SQL, and Python.

Experience with AWS data services, such as

• Amazon S3;
• AWS Glue;
• Athena;
• Amazon EMR;
• Step Functions;
• Lambda.

Knowledge of tools for

• Orchestration;
• Messaging;
• Observability;
• Continuous integration.

Experience with DataOps, DevOps, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.

Knowledge of Generative Artificial Intelligence and AI-assisted development tools.

Microsoft, Databricks, Azure, AWS, or Data Engineering related certifications.

Previous experience in consulting companies or projects for different clients and segments.
